PM Pediatrics to Expand NY Metro Footprint with Five New Locations by End of Year

PM Pediatrics, an award-winning provider of specialized pediatric urgent care, serving patients from cradle through college, announced today its plan to open several new locations in the New York metropolitan area by the end of the year. On the heels of its Carle Place, NY (April 17) and Spring Valley, NY (February 17) openings, PM Pediatrics is slated to launch an additional five urgent care practices in 2014:

• Holmdel, NJ (Summer): Holmdel Towne Center, 2101 Route 35
• Yonkers, NY (Fall): 2290 Central Park Avenue
• Springfield, NJ (late Fall): 355 Route 22 East
• Forest Hills, Queens, NY (late Fall): 70-20 Austin Street
• Midwood, Brooklyn, NY (early Winter): 1273 Coney Island Avenue

PM Pediatrics is open Monday through Saturday from Noon to Midnight, and Sundays and select holidays from 10:00am to Midnight. Each state-of-the-art location is staffed by Pediatric Emergency Specialists, including board-certified pediatric emergency physicians and pediatricians, who provide care and treatment for a broad array of illness and injuries including asthma, fever and other infections, dehydration, sprains and fractures, wounds requiring stitches, and much more. PM Pediatrics features on-site digital x-ray which produces high resolution images read by a board-certified pediatric radiologist, and sent easily to a patient’s pediatrician or orthopedist. The practices also feature a comprehensive laboratory on-site, which performs blood and urine tests and a variety of rapid tests for infectious diseases.

Unlike traditional urgent care practices, PM Pediatrics treats children and young adults exclusively, with physicians, nurses, equipment and an office environment all tailored to provide the best possible care for pediatric patients. They believe strongly in a child’s medical home and do not offer wellness visits, physicals, school check-ups or immunizations. PM Pediatrics takes special care to send each patient’s medical record to their primary care provider the day of their visit, ensuring timely follow-up and continuity of care. Each location also has access to specialists such as plastic surgeons or orthopedists, as needed.
